Netflix launches Fast.com - Alternative of Speedtest.net?

I agree it looks better. But the overall site layout is easier to navigate I think

They could catch up to speedtest sooner than you think

Speedtest has been on the web so long, that I'm not sure that fast.com will succeed. Kind of weird for a television/streaming company to try get into speed testing.

That said, speedtest has a huge community of hosts behind them, running locations for them. IMHO a much better model than what fast is trying to achieve.

Speedtest.net is a good starting point for evaluating your connection speed, but it can be misleading in certain cases.
